The Chassis
The chassis is made up of an aluminium monocoque with steel sub-frames front and rear. The monocoque has side panels with honeycomb impact structures for safety and rigidity which provides the driver with a comfortable ride without the “twitching” you get in some lightweight cars.
The front and rear sub-frames have been engineered for strength and rigidity and they are made of steel. The Jetstream SC250 still weighs less than 700 kg giving it a power to weight ratio of 357hp per tonne.
The Suspension
The suspension was specifically designed to ensure excellent handling no matter what the road conditions and speed.
The front consists of unequal length wishbones with fixed coil over shocks supplied by Intrax of Netherlands which are mounted inboard with push rod activation.
The rear again consists of unequal length wishbones with fixed coil over shocks supplied by Intrax.
You can upgrade the Intrax shock absorbers to fully adjustable ones ( see Optional Extras)
The Brakes
The brake system is a Tilton twin system with balance bar bias adjustment. The Jetstream has 285mm ventilated front discs and 278mm rear discs and standard General Motors calipers.
These brakes can be upgraded to an A P Racing 4 pot calliper brake package. ( see Optional Extras).
The Wheels & Tyres
The Jetstream SC250 uses Team Dynamic Alloy Wheels with 16x7 on the front and 17x8 on the rear which helps provide stability and road holding especially when they are combined with Toyo Proxes tyres. The T1-R and R888 tyres used on this model were included in the original computer design stage so as to enhance the handling characteristics of this 2 seater sports car and ensure that it rivals any other similar marque on the road today.
